About me
Nik Ashton is a UK based Director and Acting Coach. He works in theatre, film and TV, and is particularly experienced at working with young actors.
Nik's film and TV work includes productions for Netflix, HBO, Apple, Sky, Working Title, and a number of independent film producers.
He has also worked for many theatre companies, including the National Theatre, the RSC, Chichester Festival Theatre, Welsh National Opera, Opera North and the Royal Opera House.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
I worked with Dexter Sol Ansell in preparing the text for his role as Egg ahead of shooting this prequel to Game of Thrones.
Bridget Jones - Mad about the Boy
I was full-time on set with both the young actors that played Billy and Mabel; Bridget's children.
All the Light we Cannot See
I coached Nell Sutton in the role of Young Marie, in this beautiful Netflix series directed by Shawn Levy.
Matilda the musical
I worked with Matthew Warchus, assisting with the direction of over 200 children in the Netflix/Working Title musical hit.
Anatomy of a Scandal
I supported an actor in preparing the text for this gripping Netflix series.
Belfast
I worked alongside Lucy Bevan, providing support during the audition process for this coming-of-age film by Kenneth Branagh.
Matilda the musical
I've been the Worldwide Associate Director on RSC's production of Matilda for the past 13 Years. The production is directed by Matthew Warchus, and I have been responsible for casting, rehearsing and maintaining the production in London, New York, Toronto, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and for both the UK and US tours.
